I am becoming more and more fond of light blue colors. Robin's egg blue to be exact. What exactly is Robin's egg blue? Is it the trademark Tiffany blue, or is it like a light sky blue or perhaps a minty type blue if mints are even blue. Either way, I am getting drawn to it and was so inspired by it that I have painted my master bedroom a light silvery blue. Now the creams come in. Cream colored furniture, drapes and bedding. I think my bathroom will be a very contrasting chocolate brown. I think brown and blue together are one heck of a combo! I will work on posting before and after shots when I get moooving on this little endeavor. In the meantime, I am posting some pics with a little blue or not.

Me too! I think it is also that time of year, when a little colour cheers us up! I am a 'neutral shades' girl but duck egg, pale green, pale pink and sepia all feature somewhere in the house and my creations, even if only just a mere hint. Your combination of the blue with brown is beautiful...
ReplyDeleteI LOVE NEUTRALS AND EARTH TONES. ALL THE WALLS IN MY HOUSE ARE PAINTED EITHER LATTE OR CHOCOLATE. AND, I ACCENT WITH CREAMS AND MUTED BLUES. ITS A GREAT COMBO AND SEEMS TO SATISFY MY MR. JUST THE OTHER DAY I PULLED ALL OF MY BLUES TOGETHER IN MY SHOP AND CREATED A SOOTHING LITTLE CORNER. LOVE YOUR PICS!
ReplyDeleteThat robin eggs blue is my new favorite color too. Marshalls has some GREAT Brown with beautiful blue circles on them! I wish I had the guts to paint my walls blue... What the heck maybe I will. It's only paint. The worst that could happen is I don't like it & repaint. Right? Hurry post your photos to give me courage.
ReplyDeleteTiina,
ReplyDeleteAfter you posted that picture of my blue jewelry dressform display and floral hat and hatbox; the pretty floral hatbox sold! I know you loved it!
Did you buy it?
Luv ya, Penny
