I remember as a child hearing my parents say-especially when the money was in short supply-that even though we want gifts for Christmas, just be thankful for your good health. I am sure everyone has heard that before. Well, as one gets older (and wiser) that statement really starts to make sense. This year is that such year for me. My Christmas wish is that my father has a successful Triple Bypass surgery. We are awaiting the date, and know it will be before Christmas. He has for so long been literally the strength of our entire family. You could not ask for a better dad than mine. Giving and generous, always there no matter what, a great father and good husband, and an extremely hard worker who never asked for anything and did everything for his family. It is frightening and heartbreaking to watch, in such a short period of time, this pillar of strength deteriorate day by day. I am hopeful that this surgery will be the best thing that has happened and that it will give him back, even in the smallest amount, a better spirit, more hope, and better health and strength. I love you dad......

to think about your father.
God Bless.
I wanted to cry reading your post. I know exactly how you feel about your dad. I'm sure you feel helpless watching him be so sick and it being completely out of your hands to help him. Just know it is in God's hands and it WILL be ok. The best Christmas gift will surely be a speedy and successful recovery for him. I will say a prayer for him as well as you and your family. I know we always want our parents to be around for us as long as possible. My prayer is that he will be there for you and your family to share many more memories for a long time to come!
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming to my blog! I'm so happy to have a new
friend!
Wishing you all the best,

Tiina, you Dad will soon be a picture of health in time for the New Year! He is such a sweet man and God knows how much you, your Mom and the girls need him. I will say a prayer for all of you everyday. And try not to worry too much. Your Dad is very lucky to have such a vigilant and caring daughter.

ReplyDeleteTina,
ReplyDeleteMy prayers and thoughts will be with you and your family as your Dad and you undergo this difficult time. I have been down this road as well and it is extremely difficult at times, but try and keep the faith.
Tina, having lost both my parents already, I know why you are feeling apprehensive ..but with the advances they have made even in the past few years, I am betting your Dad will do just fine with his surgery.
ReplyDeleteMy prayer is that he will be back with you all before the New Year. " Fit as a Fiddle "

ReplyDeleteHi there! Praying for your dad and his surgeon and attending medical staff that they will have Wisdom from the Lord during the surgery. And Lord, please guide their hands and surround them all with your ministering angels. And thank you, dear Lord, for a supernaturally speedy recover for Tina's dad, in the Name of Jesus...
