~ Time For a Change...~

I have always been fascinated in the way people's tastes have a tendancy to change whether it be food, fashion or decor. I have had those moments several times in my life. Today as I post this blog my wheels are spinning regarding my dining room. Now it is a buttery gold hue with chocolate accents. What if I decided to do a 180 and try out a little gray with pewter accents? Hmmmm...It would make the room lighter and brighter, and above everything else it would be a change. Now the work begins. Choose the paint, decide whether to accent with wall paper, and perhaps different furnishings? In the meantime I am posting some pics of my living room-will the color change in the dining room clash with the colors in my living room and kitchen? We shall see....

  3. Just today I finished painting my dining room a soft gray, in some lights it looks almost white. I am also painting the wood trim "white" instead of cream. I can't believe what a difference in the lightness of the room. You will be glad you did it!

  4. Exactly the colors I'm debating on for a bedroom. Can't decide between white/cream/brown or gray/white/silver/pink. Your cream colors are so pretty now, I'll look forward to seeing the change. I'm certain they'll be every bit as pretty.

  5. My heart always does a pitter-patter when I see you've added a new post. Your blog has been a favorite for a long time, and I've missed you. I am in love with your living room. I'm going to borrow some of your ideas. I would totally emulate if I could. Thanks for sharing.

  7. I have a question and don't see a place on here to ask it privately. But I'm in the process of looking for a new sofa. I've stumbled upon your blog and notice in the photos that you have a tight-back tufted sofa. My sofa now is 92" and has 2 pillows back and bottom. I would love a sofa like yours but comfort and softness is a much needed thing for this old lady, sugar, so let me know how you like it for softness and comfort. Thanks!

  8. I love the sofas I have. Very soft and comfortable. They were purchased several years ago at Dillards-have had them since. I have actually had people make fun of them and say that they are dated and too old-what do they know????

  9. Thank you, thank you for the email!!! I might mention that having a way to get in contact with you on your blog might help others with questions they might have. I looked and realized the post wasn't exactly current and wondered if you would be able to respond. I've even had bloggers ask me a question and absolutely NO WAY to respond to them. Grrrrr... I'll be looking at the tight back sofas with a positive attitude then. Again, thanks.

  10. I really love the color of your place. Wish to have a living room like that at my manila condominiums. Love that sofa, and when I need to relax I sit there while watching and having a cup of coffee. :)
