I recently bought the book The Find and I came across one particular page. The idea is fantastic and quite simple. Old metal number, neat old plates (or new), a great color napkin, and the greatest part-an old ledger page cut in the shape of a fancy place mat. Imagine what other place settings one could create with other found objects. Time has really flown since my last Blog. Hopefully now with the chill in the air I will get rejuvenated and write more often. Now is the time to tackle the full garage and storage. Ahhhhh.... The freedom of no clutter....

I need to clear out my garage, too but I'm afraid I'd never get to the "no clutter" stage with out a big garbage truck backed into my drive!! Good luck!

What a cute idea! I have been saying the same thing, "As soon as it cools off I am tackling the garage" but we are having record heat in Florida (oh darn), LOL, but as soon as it does I will be busy(;

How lovely. I am a sucker for repurposing like this. I will have to locate that book.
ReplyDeleteI'm catching up with postings after spending three days in bed with a nasty cold that turned to asthma issues. Just getting back up to my old self and have missed all of my blogging friends. Hope to be caught soon and back to posting on my own blog. Hugs to you. Sea Witch
Hi Tiina! I always enjoy your blog! I just nominated you for an award....please check out my blog!
ReplyDeleteThose are great plates. I love anything with vintage numbers on it. Don't think I could use the vintage ledger paper as placemats. I'd be too freaked out if someone spilled on them!
ReplyDeleteNo clutter? How can you do that? We are the clutter king and queen!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this cute idea. It's a must-try on the next dinner with friends.
ReplyDeleteVisiting your blog always brings along lots of insiration.
Love

Beautiful setting.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the mention. Just want to let you and your readers know that I have signature plates that I'm happy to sign and mail so they can have their books personalized. I had so many people wanting to send me their books to sign, that I thought it would be easier, and more cost effective, to go this route. Come visit me at http://www.theelegantthrifter.com, or just email me at theelegantthrifter@gmail.com, and I'll mail one out!
ReplyDeleteAgain, thank you for the mention. And Heather's work is absolutely amazing!
