~ Time With Dad ~

Days keep passing but there will be a light at the end of the tunnel. My father has been quite ill for the last 2 weeks so we are doing a health overhaul. Today 2 doctor visits and Monday a full lab workup and MRI of his heart. It is not fun to grow old (unless you remain healthy of course). My parents 50th wedding anniversary is coming at the end of the month. I do not think my mom looks at my blog, so I am going to post a pic of the picture of them I had enlarged, and then painted a frame to semi-match it. I love this picture. It is of their first date. How romantic!!!!........

  1. That picture is so sweet. What a lovely couple.
I am sorry to hear about your Dad, and I pray that he will recover.
God Bless you and your family.

  2. I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad.
My Dad is having some problems too, and it is soooo hard to see them going downhill.
I hope they find what is wrong and can help.

I am praying for you all.

    Picture is wonderful

  3. Wow! What a beautiful picture and frame also. And they are so lovely too. I've been through all of this tests and hospitals and doctors with my family and I know how tedious and exhausting it can be. And scary. I will be praying for all of you...

  4. Tiina It turned out so beautiful, just like your parents!! I am so glad your Dad is feeling better. Lynn

  5. Blessings and best wishes being sent to you for continued happiness with your family and a happy Thanksgiving.....

  6. What a wonderful picture! Your parents look so happy in the picture. They must be about my age !
Hope your Dad is back feeling better real soon. Being a nurse you can anticipate morethan the average person and that can sometimes make it harder for you. I am a nurse also. So I can understand.

  7. Oh I am sorry about you father...I struggle with my parents health issues now too..both going in and out of hospitals.. so I understand. The picture is beautiful they both are so beautiful and young and full of thier life ahead of them..I rememeber those first beginnings

  8. I am sorry about your dad not feeling well ~
I love the picture ! You look just like your mom ~ Oh my goodness !

  9. Your parents are both beautiful and what a lovely picture. I hope that your Father will be feeling well soon. You and your father are in my prayers.

  10. You and your parents are in my thoughts and prayers! AND I still owe you money...don't forget to remind me!

  11. What a cute picture! I hope your dad starts to feel better very soon. He has to celebrate the big anniversary!

  12. Tiina, I'll be keeping y'all in my prayers. It's such a struggle when our parents' health starts to fail especially our dads. They're suppossed to be iron men. You parents are beautiful. How lovely to have a photo that captured forever that first date 50 years ago.
I think your gift is wonderful.

  13. Enjoy the precious time you have with your dad, even though it may be tough. I have my pops still and you reminded me that even though he has me running, I should be thankful to have him, healthy and busy! Good Luck. Sandy.

  14. sorry to hear about your dad...
He will be fine don't you worry...
They are such a good looking couple , looking forward some more snaps of them together..
    The frame is great too...

  15. An abosolutely gorgeous photo of your parents. Truly romantic!
Praying your dad's health improves so they can enjoy their anniversary.

  16. Beautiful, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers!

  17. Great image of the two of them...I see your Mom already has "designs" on him...with her arm around him...on their first cute.
Hope you can nail down the cure for his problem..and get him back on track.
YES, growing old is not much fun when your health deteriorates.

  18. Like, health and blessings to you Dad and peace to you and your Mom. It looks like they are on a balcony on top of the world... maybe Paris?
I love old pictures, my parents keep giving me new ones but I frame the old ones.
Your dining room for Thanksgiving is gorgeous.

  19. I will pray for your father.
I see he has a aura of light around him in the photo.
