~ Time With Dad ~

Days keep passing but there will be a light at the end of the tunnel. My father has been quite ill for the last 2 weeks so we are doing a health overhaul. Today 2 doctor visits and Monday a full lab workup and MRI of his heart. It is not fun to grow old (unless you remain healthy of course). My parents 50th wedding anniversary is coming at the end of the month. I do not think my mom looks at my blog, so I am going to post a pic of the picture of them I had enlarged, and then painted a frame to semi-match it. I love this picture. It is of their first date. How romantic!!!!........

  3. Wow! What a beautiful picture and frame also. And they are so lovely too. I've been through all of this tests and hospitals and doctors with my family and I know how tedious and exhausting it can be. And scary. I will be praying for all of you...

  6. What a wonderful picture! Your parents look so happy in the picture. They must be about my age !
Hope your Dad is back feeling better real soon. Being a nurse you can anticipate morethan the average person and that can sometimes make it harder for you. I am a nurse also. So I can understand.

  12. Tiina, I'll be keeping y'all in my prayers. It's such a struggle when our parents' health starts to fail especially our dads. They're suppossed to be iron men. You parents are beautiful. How lovely to have a photo that captured forever that first date 50 years ago.
I think your gift is wonderful.

  13. Enjoy the precious time you have with your dad, even though it may be tough. I have my pops still and you reminded me that even though he has me running, I should be thankful to have him, healthy and busy! Good Luck. Sandy.

Hope you can nail down the cure for his problem..and get him back on track.
YES, growing old is not much fun when your health deteriorates.
