Creamy details and lovely treasures.....just the fix for a boring Thursday night. I need some sort of power boost to get me going again on the decorating band wagon. I think I have just had a booth redo meltdown. Did you ever just have one of the days or months were you just can't seem to get yourself to accomplish anything? I will blame it partially on the heat, but also on the lack of motivation or the inspiration to create. I hope this doesn't last long because I am boring myself to death......

We all have times like htat.
ReplyDeleteSometimes it is a good idea to just step back for a bit.
Do something totally outside the creating realm.
See a movie, check on a friend you have not heard from for along time,
walk by the river, watch kids play at a park,
something that just has nothing to do with crating.
Hard to do if your life revolves around it like mine does, but give it a try.
Love that second pic you shared. Wonderful!!
Blessings, and rest,
Barbara Jean
it looks all so very nice!
ReplyDeletetoo bad I live so far away!
I love mirrors...amazing what you can find in them! LOL
I have a great idea, keep up what you are doing when you get bored....you are keeping us all entertained, fueling our creative fires and inspiring the heck out of us. So play aways with your vinettes...we won't mind a bit!
ReplyDeleteOne of your biggest fans.....Becky
So pretty! Love those mirrors!!
ReplyDeleteMichelle
I love all your photo's too! You are truely inspiring to me. I just love your blog and your booth and your shop! I am opening a booth August 1st and I was wondering if you would mind me using your idea for a similar treatment on my booth walls? You've been soooooo inspiring to me!......Linda
ReplyDeleteI soooooo understand your dilemma! We just redid the rooms at the shop and I got to a point where I just couldn't get inspired or think any more! There is so much to antique shops with the financial stresses and the constant need to keep vignettes and rooms looking pristine-it is hard work but fun work! Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Kim
I agree with the others, it may be boring to you somewhat, but we are all enamored with your talent and all your great vignettes and displays. So don't worry about "boring" us. It just won't happen!
ReplyDeleteDebra
Love the cream mirrors...thanks for taking your time to share with us!
ReplyDeleteHeat will take the zip out of us for sure.
I just slept like 10 hours, have been playing too hard for weeks...now I feel like being back to work!
Your doing great! You can't always be UP, oh go see that movie!
I love these mirrors! Are they from your booth and, if so, can I order one? :) Sue
ReplyDeleteooohhh, i love the mirrors in the fourth picture, please give me more info, like price and stuff, love them
ReplyDeleteHi Ladies.....The mirrors are compliments of Lynn's house yet again....She collects the old pie crust shaving mirrors. When I finally got into them myself you couldnt even find any. Used to be they were everywhere on Ebay-now unfortunately they barely come along. Lynn will sell some in her booth on occassion, but I think she is getting smarter about it and deciding she should keep what she has since they are almost impossible to get......
ReplyDeleteI have a little collection of those beveled shaving mirrors, too. I picture them being used by cowboys, hanging from the nearest tree so they can get a clean shave!
ReplyDeleteI WANT THEM ALL!! Love that doubled up mirror setting. TTFN ~Marydon
ReplyDeleteI have one of the mirrors and move it around my home .... it often adds that interesting bit needed to a tabletop ...
ReplyDeleteIf you are still feeling a little stressed, kinda like climbing the walls?? I invite you to come see a recent post with a pic that will make you chuckle (or scratch your head!)
Have a super weekend!
Betty :)
From one shaving mirror addict to another~~it all looks fab! Love love the clock cases too.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Shelley
Hi Tiina,
ReplyDeleteI have those times as well. When it seems that the well has dried up. It always passes for me and I know it will for you. However, I can't compare my creativity to yours. Even when you hit a dry spell, you still inspire.
Hugs,
June
IT IS TOO FREAKING HOT HERE TO THINK!!!!! I can feel your pain. I don't want to do a thing. Today we went to a builder supply place to look at new front doors & I had sweat pouring off me. AND I DON'T SWEAT! Stay cool.
ReplyDeletecan you please share the location of your shop? l must have that mirror!
ReplyDeleteSorry ladies, the mirrors are not for sale. They are resting nicely in Lynn's house (my BFF). She has spent a lifetime, and then some, gathering the most awesomest stuff. One day she just might be missing some goodies-so watch out the next time I come to water her plants.....LOL....
