Well, as promised a week has passed and the little bird is not so little any more. We think it is a Morning Dove and have yet to name him or her. It now fits nicely in the palm of my hand and is quite breasty as you can see. The tail is beginning to get gray and white feathers so we will see how the next week fairs with this hungry little thing.....I have gotten a few items of furniture moved around, but there is a long way to go in this house-glad I am not in a hurry...

~ Timeless Treasures ~
A cooler day here in Texas ( thank goodness ). Finally got a little gardening done with only a few drops of sweat rather than buckets full. Chose Parchment paint by Ralph Lauren for my bathroom because I think the color will go well with my silvery blue bedroom walls-a contrast that I hope will work. I have been shuffling through numerous boxes of old bills and tax papers-why do we keep all those stubs? It amazes me how fast stuff like that accumulates and takes up precious decorating space. I hope to get some more furniture painted and up to Lone Star next week-the days keep flying by.....The bird is doing beautifully, and will accompany me to work tomorrow as he or she did last Tuesday. I will post a new pic on Sunday so we can watch it's weekly progression. Hmmmmm...it looks more and more like a Dove everyday. Hope everyone has a great weekend and a productive next week as I intend to do....

~ Pampered Pets ~
Just when you thought it was safe to go to Lone Star to redo your space, along comes a little birdie.....My youngest daughter has the uncanny ability to find fallen baby birds where ever she is. Sometimes they fall from their nest and I suspect sometimes they are helped along a little. Either way the 30 minute feedings have started. I have gotten quite good at rescuing these sweet little feathered friends-but I assure you, I would rather they be raised by their parents. This little bird I believe is a Dove. Judging from the shape of the beak, I bet it is. So ugly and so cute. Hopefully it will survive and I will be able to release it in a few weeks. Our family seems to be growing and growing....No wonder I am soooooo tired. Sushi is doing good with Presley and he seems to be adapting well. I am posting some pics of these messes-seems like something is in the water here-so to speak-as you can tell from the pictures. I almost feel that I need to rate these photos XXX.......

~ Artistic Arrangements ~
There is an art to elegant arranging. I have an especially difficult time trying to figure out where things go. Sometimes I get that monthly spurt and can get it all done in one shot. But most of the time, I stand there staring at the room and cannot for the life of me figure out what to do. Thank goodness for the occasional decorating spurt or I would really be in trouble. I love Lynn's arrangements, and who wouldn't? Her stuff is gorgeous and she has the uncanny ability to create unforgettable arrangements.....

~ A Doggy Dream In Cream....~
As promised, my oldest daughter Nina got her birthday gift-meet Presley our newest member to the family. He is the sweetest 8 week old Toy Poodle. The breeder called his color Cafe-of course I call his color Cream. Now start the up all night pee pee runs and the small hidden surprises behind the couch, but it is sooooo worth it. Just look at that face........
