~ Feathered Friend ~

" Cheep-Cheep......"
" Lots of goodies-now comes the organizing...."

" I think I have a cherub lamp fetish....."

Well, as promised a week has passed and the little bird is not so little any more. We think it is a Morning Dove and have yet to name him or her. It now fits nicely in the palm of my hand and is quite breasty as you can see. The tail is beginning to get gray and white feathers so we will see how the next week fairs with this hungry little thing.....I have gotten a few items of furniture moved around, but there is a long way to go in this house-glad I am not in a hurry...

~ Timeless Treasures ~

" Table scape....."
" Beautifully covered pillow with tulle and goodies sewn in..."

" Lydia's space at Lone Star......."

" Pam's space at Lone Star.....Let's call it Shabby Shells....."

" You know who..it's Presley before bedtime........"

A cooler day here in Texas ( thank goodness ). Finally got a little gardening done with only a few drops of sweat rather than buckets full. Chose Parchment paint by Ralph Lauren for my bathroom because I think the color will go well with my silvery blue bedroom walls-a contrast that I hope will work. I have been shuffling through numerous boxes of old bills and tax papers-why do we keep all those stubs? It amazes me how fast stuff like that accumulates and takes up precious decorating space. I hope to get some more furniture painted and up to Lone Star next week-the days keep flying by.....The bird is doing beautifully, and will accompany me to work tomorrow as he or she did last Tuesday. I will post a new pic on Sunday so we can watch it's weekly progression. Hmmmmm...it looks more and more like a Dove everyday. Hope everyone has a great weekend and a productive next week as I intend to do....

~ Pampered Pets ~

" Hey Ladies!!!!!!.....Can't resist me can you?..."
" I hate it when I forget to suck in my gut !!!!....."

" Peep, peep.... It's been 30 minutes since my last meal and I am starved..."

Just when you thought it was safe to go to Lone Star to redo your space, along comes a little birdie.....My youngest daughter has the uncanny ability to find fallen baby birds where ever she is. Sometimes they fall from their nest and I suspect sometimes they are helped along a little. Either way the 30 minute feedings have started. I have gotten quite good at rescuing these sweet little feathered friends-but I assure you, I would rather they be raised by their parents. This little bird I believe is a Dove. Judging from the shape of the beak, I bet it is. So ugly and so cute. Hopefully it will survive and I will be able to release it in a few weeks. Our family seems to be growing and growing....No wonder I am soooooo tired. Sushi is doing good with Presley and he seems to be adapting well. I am posting some pics of these messes-seems like something is in the water here-so to speak-as you can tell from the pictures. I almost feel that I need to rate these photos XXX.......

~ Greetings.......~

" Thank ya' very muuuuuch....."
Isn't it amazing how a little face clipping makes all the difference-not that Presley wasn't adorable when he first arrived.....Here is Presley with his GQ look.......

~ Artistic Arrangements ~

There is an art to elegant arranging. I have an especially difficult time trying to figure out where things go. Sometimes I get that monthly spurt and can get it all done in one shot. But most of the time, I stand there staring at the room and cannot for the life of me figure out what to do. Thank goodness for the occasional decorating spurt or I would really be in trouble. I love Lynn's arrangements, and who wouldn't? Her stuff is gorgeous and she has the uncanny ability to create unforgettable arrangements.....

~ A Doggy Dream In Cream....~

" Greetings........"
" ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ...................."

" Double ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ................."

As promised, my oldest daughter Nina got her birthday gift-meet Presley our newest member to the family. He is the sweetest 8 week old Toy Poodle. The breeder called his color Cafe-of course I call his color Cream. Now start the up all night pee pee runs and the small hidden surprises behind the couch, but it is sooooo worth it. Just look at that face........

~ Simplicity ~

I wouldn't exactly call these photos simple, maybe simply lovely is a better choice of words. It is late and it is still hot outside, but I still feel the need to post some more photos. They say the rain is on its way-I will believe that when I see it.......

~ Creamy Toppings ~

Ok, so now I am on a roll. Spent a few hours with my gal pal Lynn today at Lone Star taking in a few items. The weather is very, very draining and I am having a heck of a time getting things done-at least the type of things that require going out of doors. It is even exhausting to walk from my front door to the truck-MISERABLE......Anyway, with Lynn's help and coaxing off we went. With my space rearranged and a few more pieces of furniture I was satisfied-Thanks Lynn for getting me going !!!! Here are some more lovely photos of Lynn's lovely treasures......

~ Late Night Cream Fix.....~

I needed a "fix" tonight, and I thought that some new lovely pics would be alot less calories than a box of cookies fix. So here goes........

~ Down By the Sea....~

" Child's mini-hutch in scratchy misty blue......"
"Shells and more Shells......."

" Inside of dark brown hutch, the interior and inner doors are painted a lovely misty blue...."

" Makes me want to take a roadtrip and head straight for the beach...."

Lone Star has a new themed display and I love it....Soothing blues and seashells. I guess seashells are making a comeback-never knew they disappeared. I love the cottage look and what better way to achieve that than by shells, lovely antique blue tones and a ship and captains wheel. I love the way the cupboard has the inside painted that misty blue-makes a great statement...How about that chippy scratchy blue childs little hutch-to die for.....Wonder what next months theme will be?........

~ Meet Beefy ~

" And here's Beefy......"
" Let's not forget Meaty...."

" Birds of a feather....."

" Sushi's reaction to another furry friend...."

As if one Guinea Pig isn't enough, my daughter felt that her guinea pig Meaty needed a friend to keep him warm in the winter. Now I know the temp outside is well over 100 degrees everyday, but you never know when the cold front might hit. So I agreed and I want you all to meet Beefy........

~ Random......~

Creamy details and lovely treasures.....just the fix for a boring Thursday night. I need some sort of power boost to get me going again on the decorating band wagon. I think I have just had a booth redo meltdown. Did you ever just have one of the days or months were you just can't seem to get yourself to accomplish anything? I will blame it partially on the heat, but also on the lack of motivation or the inspiration to create. I hope this doesn't last long because I am boring myself to death......

~ Inspirational Settings ~

Time goes by yet again....I thought I would post a few inspirational pictures that I have. The summer heat has really gotten to us Texans. Whew!!! I knew we were in for a "hot" one, but this is ridiculous......

~ Happy 4th !!! ~

" Clock faces from heaven...."
" Ms. Uncle Sam......."

" Red, White and Blue....."

Time still flies by for me, but I feel I am getting closer to my goals....Have been a little lazy with my booth and have not visited it since last Saturday. Too hot to paint, but I really do have alot of projects to finish. Who said that when school is out you will have more time-I find that I do better with a daily schedule. In the meantime I thought I would post a few July 4th inspirational photos. Keep cool guys!!! Here in Texas it will most likely be over a 100 degrees for the rest of the summer.......
