Still Breathing........

You've heard me say this a hundred times-wow! does time fly by. My dad is healing nicely and we are taking it slow. He has his first doctor's appointment tomorrow since his triple bypass surgery. I know he will be exhausted, but he is ever so antsy to get outside into the fresh air-even if it is to see the doctor. Now that the really cold weather has passed, maybe I can concentrate on a little bit of painting. My painting and creativity have been on hold for a while. In the meantime, I will post some more lovely photos that I find inspiring......

  6. Glad things are going better. It is miraculous how quickly people can heal from such a major surgery. I'm with you I'm glad it has gotten a little warmer..if I likedthat kind of weather I would have stayed in Kansas. We get spoiled here in TX. But you can't compare winter thee to winter here. I say you have to compare summer here to winter there but then you don't have to shovel sunshine! Right!
    Wishing a great New Year!

  7. I didn't realize your Dad had heart surgery. It's been awhile since I've got to blog and visit. I totally recall the time my own Dad went through open heart surgery and had a valve replacement, nearly 20 years ago. I still recall the anxiety that goes with that as a daughter too...and praying he'd be well and whole again. To encourage you, my dad two years later built a gazebo and deck on the back of his home. He enjoyed 10 more years of life after the surgery and so...I'm praying your Dad gets to enjoy many many more years with you too. The pics you shared today are lovely, as is the music! Rest my friend and know that the Lord is caring for your Daddy and he will get stronger and stronger each day. Hugs, ~CC Catherine

  8. Oh yes, painting......I get lost in the moment when I paint. It sounds like that is just what you need, Tiina. It helps with stress.

  11. Hello
So glad to hear your dad is doing well, it is amazing what they do and how quickly they do it. My husband had a quintuple bypass 8 years ago and he was home in 3 days.
Blessings to you and your dad
