~ Fun with Flowers ~

Spring is coming and I love fresh flowers. But oh, those dried and fake ones sure hit the spot when the fresh ones are not yet ready to be picked. Artificial flowers have come along long way. Long gone are those plasticky dust collecting ones. I love dried Hydrangeas if you are lucky enough to find some, and if they are in one piece. I grew Peonies at my other house. It took nearly 3 years for them to bloom! I must be doing something wrong. I am now into those beautiful antique Roses. They are the ones with the double blooms nearly resembling Peonies and a heck uv a lot easier to grow. Whether real or not, flowers do create a lovely impact however they are displayed......

  1. Lovely pics as usual. I love dried hydrangeas too. You are so right about the imitations, they are getting better all the time at designing them. Dried peonies are my favs and I seem to have them all over the house. Thank you so much for your very beautiful blog.

  5. I too love hydrangeas and usually can find vendors at Canton that have them. Since I don't seem to have luck in growing them, I'll take the dried version. Love it all!!

  6. See, we made the mistake of listening to certain people when they told us to get all faux out! We should have listened to ourselves...we know so much more! lol
I'm a sucker for hydrangeas. I don't have a green thumb, but the David Austin roses are easy and give me those beautiful lush roses without killing myself. Try one, you can thank me later!

  7. OH MY GOSH!!! What a wonderful blog you have. I am so ready for spring...Peonies do usually take a couple of years to bloom and they don't like to be moved. I have to agree Roses are much easier...i can't have enough of them. So glad I found you.
